1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Petrowork Solutions Lda, a company incorporated under Angolan law, providing fabric maintenance, corrosion protection, inspection and industrial services to the Oil & Gas, Marine and Industrial sectors.

2. The law we work to

We process personal data in accordance with Angolan Law no. 22/11 of 17 June on the Protection of Personal Data, and with the supervisory practice of the Agência de Protecção de Dados (APD).

Where we process the personal data of people located in the European Economic Area — which is common in our sector, since many of our clients and partners are European operators — we also apply the standards of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

3. What personal data we collect

Data you give us. The contact form on this website asks for three things, all of which you choose to provide:

• your full name
• your email address
• the content of the message you write, including anything you choose to disclose in it

Please do not include sensitive personal data, commercially confidential information or details of a live incident in a website enquiry. If the matter is confidential, tell us that in the message and we will arrange a secure channel.

Data collected automatically. Like any website, ours is served by systems that keep technical logs. These record your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and your browser type. Your IP address is also held briefly in server memory to limit how many form submissions can come from one source, which is how we keep the form from being abused by automated spam.

We do not run advertising networks, behavioural tracking, social media pixels or third-party analytics on this website. We do not build visitor profiles, and we do not buy personal data from third parties.

4. Why we use it, and on what basis

• To answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a quotation or scope of work. Basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach us.
• To handle career enquiries and applications. Basis: steps taken at your request prior to an employment relationship.
• To keep the website secure and to prevent spam and abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our systems and our staff's inboxes.
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations, including obligations owed to clients and auditors under our ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 management systems. Basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

We do not use your data to send marketing you did not ask for.

5. Who has access to it

Inside Petrowork, enquiries reach the commercial, technical or HR colleagues who need to deal with them, and no one else.

Outside Petrowork, we rely on a small number of service providers who process data strictly on our instructions:

• Microsoft — our Microsoft 365 tenant delivers and stores the email generated by the contact form.
• Vercel — hosts and serves this website, and keeps the technical request logs described above.
• Sanity — the content management system behind the pages you read. It stores our published content, not your personal data.

We may also disclose personal data where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. We never sell or rent personal data.

6. Transfers outside Angola

The providers above operate infrastructure in Europe and the United States, so data submitted through this website will be processed outside Angola. We transfer personal data only where it is necessary for the purpose, and only to providers who are contractually bound to protect it to a standard consistent with Angolan law and, where applicable, the GDPR — including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep it

• Enquiry correspondence: up to three years after our last contact with you, unless it becomes part of a commercial relationship, in which case it is retained under the terms of that relationship and the applicable commercial and tax retention periods.
• Career enquiries and applications: up to two years after the recruitment process closes, so that we can consider you for a later opening — unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Technical server logs: retained by our hosting provider for a short period as part of normal operations and security monitoring.
• Anti-spam rate-limiting data: held in server memory for ten minutes and never written to disk.

8. Security

This website is served over HTTPS, and enquiries are delivered into a corporate Microsoft 365 mailbox rather than a personal one. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, alteration and unauthorised access, and access is limited to colleagues who need it. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, which is why we ask you not to send confidential material through the website form.

9. Your rights

You may ask us to:

• confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and give you a copy of it
• correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
• delete data we no longer have a reason to keep
• restrict or object to how we are using it
• provide your data in a portable, machine-readable form
• stop processing based on your consent, where you have given it — withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it

Write to office@petrowork-solution.com with "Data protection request" in the subject line. We may ask you for proof of identity before we act, so that we do not disclose someone's data to the wrong person, and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Agência de Protecção de Dados in Angola or, if you are in the European Economic Area, to your national supervisory authority.

10. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie it sets is a strictly necessary one:

• NEXT_LOCALE — records which language version of the site you are viewing, so that it opens in the same language next time. It is set automatically when you open a page and contains nothing but the two-letter language code ("en" or "pt"). It carries no identifier, is not used to track you, and expires when you close your browser.

You can delete cookies or block them entirely in your browser settings. Blocking this one only means the site will not remember your language choice.

11. Links to other sites

This website links to third-party sites, including our LinkedIn page. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's site, subject to their privacy policy and cookie practices, over which we have no control and for which we accept no responsibility.

12. Children

This is a business-to-business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Website content and intellectual property

The content of this website — text, photographs, drawings, the Petrowork name and logo — belongs to Petrowork Solutions Lda or is used under licence. You may consult and reproduce it for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, in particular reproduction or republication in whole or in part, requires our prior written authorisation and attribution of the source. Third-party marks shown on the site, including client and partner logos, remain the property of their respective owners.

The technical descriptions on this site are published in good faith as a general description of our capabilities. They are not a technical specification, a warranty or an offer, and the scope of any work we carry out is defined by the contract for that work.

14. Changes and governing law

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The revision date at the top of the page always tells you which version you are reading. This policy is governed by Angolan law, and the courts of Luanda have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
